Share Issue Success!

Just seven days after our Community Share Issue was launched on May 29 2009 the board is extremely pleased to be able to announce that it has been successful.

The goal we set ourselves is to raise £15,000 by the end of June, and we set ourselves a deadline of June 5 (just one week after the launch) to reach £10,000, in order to give us sufficient capital to continue.

In fact, when we met on June 5 to review progress, the figures showed that share applications totalled over £12,000, and so the decision was taken to push ahead.

It is also worth noting that expressions of interest in the cooperative and the share offer continue to come in at a very good rate. If anything, the number of enquiries and share applications is still rising, and on this basis we are currently confident of achieving our target for June.

The decision to proceed with our plans means that a lot of work now needs to be carried out in the next few weeks. Keep a close eye on the website to keep up with news and progress reports.
