No Plastic Bags Policy
This didn't seem to fit into the "what should we stock" discussion, but I know Mastt has talked about trying to make Marsden and Slawit a no plastic bag zone and I feel quite strongly that the shop should lead the way. This might mean getting a groovy bag printed up (or getting hold of any moonraker ones which might have been left over to sell at a discount for opening). Any thoughts? F

Agreed. I'm pretty sure we won't be giving out plastic bags (I say 'pretty sure' because it's not an issue that we've yet discussed). We might offer old plastic bags and encourage re-use of some of the thousands of bags that undoubtedly exist in Slaithwaite.
We are also looking at having jute or cotton bags available for purchase.
Moonraking Bags
I have about 150 of these still in stock. We would be happy for the shop to sell these bags for us, and also to point the committee towards our suppliers.

In the spirit of "Green" it would be great if the shop could use these up before printing it's own. Im sure it wouldn't take long. I meant to buy one at moonraking and never got round to it so could you reserve one for me please ;-) F
No plastic bags policy
Paper bags for small stuff and jute or something for big stuff. Anything that'll go on a compost heap!
