Help Needed

local produce

As you know, The Green Valley Grocer wants to stock as much good quality local produce as possible. We are now developing our list of potential producers and suppliers who live locally or within 10 miles or so of Slaithwaite.

If you are a producer, would like to become a producer, or know of someone who might be interested in doing so, please let us know.

Contact Helen Coxan on 01484 598050 (mobile: 0794 734 7589) or click here to send her an email.

We are particularly interested in fruit and vegetables, jams and chutneys, cheese and eggs (though there are legislative constraints on us in these areas).

It's indeed a nice idea to

It's indeed a nice idea to have this kind of business that will be of great help.Of course, you'll need time to adjust in this business and after sometime you'll be successful.Well anyway, since St. Patricks' day is here, a lot of folks are looking for St. Patrick's Day recipes, or rather for Irish food recipes on the whole. Obviously, corned beef and cabbage is far up the list, in addition to soda bread, even though that dish was actually a Jewish invention discovered by Irish immigrants in the US. (It is kosher, right after all.) You don't need to spend a payday loans worth - a lot of stores will be selling a corned beef brisket kit you can cook at house in a crock pot. Also, look into Irish stew, and steak and Guinness pie - and if you celebrate heavy, learn to make boxty for an Ulster fry the morning after.
